The short, true version of how MeetaDev works.
Is MeetaDev free?
Yes. Pulse, Arena, Project Review, Communities, blogs and the CV Builder are free. Paid plans are priced in KES.
Do I need to be in Africa?
No, anyone can join. The community is African, and times default to East Africa Time (EAT). Where we know your time zone, we show times in yours.
How is this different from LeetCode?
You don’t practise alone. Pulse challenges are timed and played against everyone else on a live leaderboard (faster correct answers score more), anyone can host one, you can battle live in Arena, and experienced engineers review your real projects. Your reputation comes from other developers, not from a count of solved problems.
Who are the reviewers?
Experienced engineers approved by the MeetaDev team. Many also verify a work email, shown as a check next to their name. They publish their own weekly hours, and every session is rated by the developer afterwards.
Is my code private?
You choose what to share. For a Project Review, your repo link and brief go to your reviewer, and their notes afterwards are private to you. Projects and posts you publish are public: that’s how people find your work.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes, on Android through Google Play. There’s no iOS app; on iPhone, use meetadev.com in your browser.
