// alex · ai_mentor

The mentor who opens the conversation for you.

Other tools wait until you're stuck and ask. Alex watches your progress across challenges, blogs, and Arena battles — and speaks up when the data says you need it.

  • // pattern_match

    Knows your weak spots

    Pattern-matches the concepts that keep tripping you up before they become blockers.

  • // proactive_nudge

    Speaks up proactively

    You don't start the conversation — Alex does, with one specific insight at the right moment.

  • // no_wall_of_text

    Respects your time

    No walls of text. Alex says what matters and gets out of your way.

Hey — I noticed you've missed 3 questions on async/await this week. Want me to walk you through where it's getting tricky?
Yeah, I keep confusing Promise chains with async syntax.
That's the most common sticking point. One rule covers ~90% of it — let's fix it.

// arena

Pressure-test what you know against real developers in real time.

Reading docs builds knowledge. Competing builds instinct. Arena drops you into live battles and daily flash challenges where speed, accuracy, and streaks separate the developers who study from the ones who can actually code under pressure.

  • // live_battles

    Live multiplayer battles

    Real-time challenges against other developers. Questions drop simultaneously, your rank updates live.

  • // flash_challenges

    Flash challenges

    Daily 60-second rounds: debug this code, predict the output, spot the anti-pattern. No hints.

  • // instinct

    Skills that stick

    Competing under pressure cements what you know and exposes what you only think you know.

Your work,
measured.

Every project you ship, blog you write, arena battle you survive compounds into a profile that becomes proof. Recruiters see signal, not slogans. You see exactly where you stand.

// for_whom

MeetaDev isn't for everyone.

We'd rather say so up front than waste your time.

// you'll_love_this_if

  • You want measurable progress, not vibes.

  • You learn by shipping, not by hoarding tutorials.

  • You're tired of being graded on credentials instead of work.

  • You like competing — and getting beaten makes you sharper.

// this_isn't_for_you_if

  • You want a quiet study room — Alex will speak up; the leaderboard is live.

  • You'd rather buy a course than ship a thing.

  • You're allergic to receipts. Everything here is measured.

  • You're looking for a magic 'become senior' button.

FAQ

Things you might be wondering.

Is my code private?
Yes. Nothing you write on MeetaDev is shared without an explicit toggle. Blogs and projects are private until you publish them. Alex's conversations with you are not shared with other users.
How is Alex different from Copilot or ChatGPT?
Copilot and ChatGPT respond when you ask. Alex watches your progress across challenges, blogs, and Arena battles, then proactively flags the patterns in where you keep getting stuck. It's a mentor that opens the conversation, not an autocomplete.
What languages and stacks does Arena support?
Arena challenges currently focus on language-agnostic problem solving (algorithms, debugging, output prediction). Stack-specific challenges (React, Node, Python, Rust, etc.) are added on a rolling basis — paid tiers get earlier access.
How much time per day do I need to commit?
Most users get value from 10-15 minutes a day — one flash challenge + a check-in with Alex. The platform is designed to compound; consistency matters more than session length.
How is this different from LeetCode or HackerRank?
LeetCode is interview prep. MeetaDev is career development. You learn under live competitive pressure (Arena), get personalized mentorship (Alex), build a real portfolio (Projects + Blogs), and export it to an ATS-ready CV when you need to interview. LeetCode is one tool; this is the whole loop.
Can I cancel and export my data?
Yes. Cancel from Settings → Subscription, effective at the end of your billing period. You can export all your blogs, projects, and CV data as JSON or PDF at any time from your profile settings, with or without an active subscription.
